This joint industry/Environment Agency guidance sets out a framework for developing an Action Plan for organisations to prepare for severe weather-related events that are projected to affect businesses from Climate Change – increased frequency of flooding, storms, severe winters and summer droughts. The guidance is specific to the Chemicals Sector, and results from a working group between industry and the Environment Agency’s ‘Climate Ready’ support group – however the lessons and business protection advice may be applicable much wider than chemicals manufacture and supply, and helpful to a wide range of businesses. There is a Foreword by Steve Elliott, CIA’s Chief Executive, that sets out the context of the guidance.
The Guidance is published by Chemical Industries Association (CIA) and is freely available.
